Photo Guidelines
We love bringing your personal touches to life. For best results, here's how to prepare your handwritten submission:
- We accept most handwriting samples, and will do our best to bring them to life. For best results, use plain white paper and black ink.
- Take a clear, well-lit photo from directly above, avoiding shadows or angles.
- Simple symbols (like hearts or stars) are allowed — no detailed drawings. Fingerprints, nose prints, or complex images are not allowed.
- Your handwriting will be centered on the piece.
- More characters = smaller engraving.
- Text will be engraved just below the drill hole to the bottom edge of the pendant.
- Long phrases will be stacked across multiple lines to fit your pendant.
Character & Line Recommendations:
- Rectangle Disc: Up to 4 lines, 8 characters per line
- Mini Oval Locket: Up to 3 lines, 6 characters per line
- 3/4" Disc: Up to 4 lines, 8 characters per line

Engraved Handwriting Mini Locket Necklace
It’s the little things that stay with us. This petite engraved locket preserves the handwriting of someone you love, etched with every curve and character that made it unmistakably theirs. Choose gold or silver for a piece that carries both your heart and theirs. Then open it to tuck in a photo or tiny keepsake. A tiny but powerful reminder of lasting connection.

Processing Time
Each personalized piece goes through our production process with care. Please note processing times are as follows:
- Standard: 4 - 6 days
- Expedited: 3 - 5 days
- Rush: 2 days
How to Add Photos to Your Locket
- After opening the locket, use a pair of tweezers or a small pin to remove the clear plastic insert from one side of the locket. (The plastic is firm, so it should pop out easily.)
- Select your photo. If needed, you can utilize a digital photo program like iphoto or photoshop (even Microsoft Word works well) to resize a photo to fit into the locket. Please note, the size of the photo will be approximately 8 mm wide and 11 mm tall once it is trimmed, so the photo you select needs to be sized accordingly!
- Use photo paper, not regular copy paper, to print your selected picture.
- Place the insert over the photograph of your choice to trace an outline.
- Carefully cut out the photo and place it inside the locket, then replace the plastic insert on top of the photo.
- Use the tweezers or pin to make sure the 4 small tabs on the plastic insert are securely inside the locket. This is an important step to ensure your photo stays in place!
- Repeat these steps to add a photo to the other side of your locket.

I absolutely love everything about this locket except for the process of putting the photos inside. It was incredibly difficult to get the pictures in properly, having them on photo paper and a thicker clear protector. By the time I finally got them into the locket, the photos were scratched up, the locket was scratched, and the little plastic cover pieces were beat up as well.
I’m gifting this to a friend whose mom recently passed away, so I’m hoping she doesn’t notice how much wear the photos went through trying to make this work. The outside of the finished locket is SO beautiful, but the photo insertion process was frustrating and much harder than expected.
